2nd annual Mothers day drum and dance at THE LARGEST LIVING WILLOW STRUCTURE IN THE U.S.A. The mothers heartbeat is the 1st thing we hear. By the sounds of the drums we can connect to our ancestors, send honor and gratitude. Husbands, fathers, and children are welcome. Facilitators are members of MICHIGAN VIKING ALLIANCE, a historical reenactment group with knowledge of ancestral connections and ceremonies.
Kids can plant a flower for moms.
Lavender lemonade and some snackies will be available.
There is no restroom on site so plan accordingly.
Reroot Pontiac is a community urban gardens nonprofit. If you are interested in contributing to the willow structure beautification please inquire.
