In 2026, Edinburgh Medical School will mark 300 years of life-changing medical education and research. Our Anatomical Museum Public Open Days are part of a series of events, exhibitions, and experiences that will take place to unite and engage students, alumni, staff and the broader community.

As well as a visit to the Anatomical Museum on the 14th February, ticket holders will also be able to attend The Heart of the Matter talk by our Senior Lecturer in Anatomy, Dr Jennifer Z Paxton. Jennifer, an Anatomist and Tissue Engineer, will give our Valentine's Day talk on the anatomy of the heart. Talks will take place at 11:20 - 11:40 and then again at 2:20 - 2:40.

- Please bring a copy of your ticket with you on the day (paper or on phone etc)
- Under 16s to be accompanied by an adult
- Strictly no food, drink or photography in the museum
- Please be aware that the museum displays historic human remains which should be treated with respect
- To avoid overcrowding on the day please ensure that you come to the museum only during your chosen timeslot
- Last entry to the building for 2:15 – 4pm ticket holders is 3:30pm
