Anastasia the Musical, inspired by the beloved 1997 animated film, is a heartfelt and magical production that invites audiences of all ages to experience a powerful story centered on the themes of home, love, and family.
Once a Russian princess, Anastasia’s life is shattered when her family is lost during the revolution of 1918. Having survived but suffering from amnesia, she grows up as Anya, unaware of her past or her true identity.
When Anya meets two charming conmen, Dmitry and Vlad, they see in her the chance to find a girl who can pass as the lost princess. What begins as a simple plan quickly turns into a deeply personal journey as Anya travels toward Paris, the last connection to the family she doesn’t remember but has always longed for.
Along the way, Anya begins to discover that “home” is more than a place; it is built through love, connection, and the people who help us become who we are meant to be. As she learns about her past and navigates a new historically based antagonist, Gleb (there is no Rasputin in this version), she also begins to understand her heart, ultimately discovering not only her identity as a princess, but the family and love she has been searching for all along.
Featuring memorable music, spectacular costumes, and some of the best youth talent in the Lakes Region, the production captures the emotional journey at the heart of the story.
This special one-weekend event is a celebration of family, courage, and the enduring power of love. It is a performance that will resonate with audiences of all ages and leave families reflecting on what “home” truly means.
