Ananya and Anaya's Kathak Graduation
Join Us for Ananya and Anaya's Kathak Graduation!
The Leela Youth Dance Company, or LYDC, is a pre-professional dance company that performs kathak, a classical Indian dance form. The LYDC champions artistic excellence and cultural pride. Members of the LYDC preserve both an art form that is centuries old and the lineage of kathak legend Pandit Chitresh Das; they embrace the oppurtunity given to them by their youth to become future leaders and cultural advocates.
Anaya and Ananya have been members of the LYDC throughout their high school careers. They've worked tremendously hard to hone their skills in this dance form through studying under their Didis, Seibi Lee and Joanna Meinl. This graduation performance, held on June 20th, showcases the result of the dedication, talent, and determination they have developed. We hope to see you there!
