Analog Photography with Doriyan Coleman, UCI Artist in Residence

Utilizing the magic of analog instant film, Street Photographer & University Circle Artist in Residence, Doriyan Coleman, is holding an innovative, hands on, 8-week photography course where he will teach the fundamentals of photography and lead photo walks around the University Circle neighborhood.

Week by week, attendees will build their visual art skills by creating portraits, photographing nature, documenting architecture, capturing everyday life, and learning the history of photography. These classes will culminate into catalogs resonating far beyond the moment of capture, collected in albums that participants will keep.

Selected works from the course will exhibited in the University Circle Community Room, representing a time capsule of the lessons learned and times shared.

Dates: April 11- June 6

Times: Saturday 11:00am- 12:30pm

Material Cost: Camera $100, Film $60 (UCI will cover cost of camera)

Class size:10 participants

*Some classes will take place outside weather permitting.
