In 2025 we are making some changes to our Analog Adventure film photowalks. We’ll be transitioning from paid to free events, with registration optional (and appreciated) but not required. Additionally, you’ll now have the option to purchase a roll or two of film and processing from our staff at the meeting point and are otherwise encouraged to bring whatever camera and film you’re interested in using. We’re also encouraging you to join us if you’re not shooting on film! In 2025 we’re looking to bridge the gap between our analog and digital communities and believe that getting out, exploring, and capturing together will be our best path forward! So, with that in mind…
Join Pro Photo Supply and other local creatives for a film-centric (but not film-exclusive) photowalk around downtown Portland during the 10th Annual PDX Winter Light Festival - an annual event hosted by the Willamette Light Brigade, a non-profit arts organization. PDXWLF brings art, technology, and inclusivity together, invigorating Portland in the winter. With free admission, the festival fosters community and showcases captivating light installations, projections, and interactive displays, creating an immersive experience for all attendees.
Some Things You Should Know:
- Experience level: Beginner & Up
- Requirements: Bring your own camera and lens(es), or check out our Rental Department Counter
- Meeting Point: We'll meet in front of the fountain area at Salmon Street Springs
- Pro Photo Staff will be on hand offering rolls of Cinestill 800T (35mm and 120) for purchase, along with processing & high-resolution scans provided by Pro Photo Supply's Lab. Both at a discount!
- This walk is not limited in attendance, but film and processing envelope supplies will be limited.
- Suggest Items to Bring (other than your camera): water/snacks, comfortable walking shoes, weather-appropriate attire, and anything else needed for protection from the elements.
