This session will cover ERA 2025 focusing on an update/where are we now and what to expect.
It will be delivered by Sam Roxborough, a specialist employment law barrister at Park Square Barristers.
Sam is listed as a “Rising Star” in the 2026 edition of The Legal 500 for Employment. Sam has a broad employment practice, working evenly across claimant and respondent matters. He handles a full range of employment claims, appearing frequently in final hearings before the Employment Tribunal and dealing with County Court disposals. Known for his diligence, strong commercial awareness and depth of knowledge, Sam is regarded as a fearless advocate and an excellent cross‑examiner, often undertaking work for more senior members of the Employment Team. Before coming to the Bar, Sam worked as a paralegal in a national law firm’s Employment Team, managing complex ET caseloads involving unfair dismissal, discrimination, TUPE, whistleblowing and wage deduction claims. This gave him extensive experience in settlement advice, drafting and advocacy. Alongside his paid work, he co‑founded Leeds Free Legal Representation, where he has represented vulnerable clients in employment and social security matters, strengthening his ability to provide effective and sensitive support to litigants in person.
The session will run from 12-1pm, with lunch and networking from 1pm-2pm.
