An Introduction to Woodturning

Try woodturning, in this 1-hour introductory session.

Learn how to get started with the woodworking technique and create your own little wooden item, such as a spinning top or toadstool. A great way of using up surplus pieces of wood.

We have a number of timeslots to choose from over the day - please choose one that works for you. Each lasts for 1 hour, starting at 09:30, 10:45, 12:30, 13:45 and 15:00.

This workshop is running as part of The Rebuild Site CIC Summer 2024 Events Programme. See our website for more information.

This class will run twice during our summer programme, so you have two dates to choose from.

• These workshops are aimed at adults - you will need to be 18 or over to take part.
• Unless otherwise specified, all materials will be provided by us.
• Refreshments such as tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided.
• Due to the content of some of our activities, you will be required to undertake a Health and Safety briefing before the start of the session. You may be required to wear PPE, such as face shields and gloves. These will be provided by us.
• Please wear weather and activity appropriate clothing and footwear when visiting us.
