One of the UK’s most enduring and respected modern soul bands bring their rich history, deep grooves and unmistakable sound to the stage for one special show.An intimate evening with British soul, funk and R&B favourites Stone Foundation.
Formed in 1998 in the Midlands by Neil Jones and Neil Sheasby, Stone Foundation built their reputation through relentless touring, self-released records and a loyal grassroots following. Inspired by the socially conscious soul of Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye and The Style Council, the band became known for their horns-driven sound, tight rhythms and songwriting with heart and purpose.
A pivotal chapter began when Paul Weller became a collaborator, champion and producer, helping elevate the band to wider attention across a run of acclaimed albums including Street Rituals, Everybody, Anyone and Is Love Enough?. Along the way they’ve enjoyed BBC 6 Music and Radio 2 airplay, played Glastonbury and sold out headline shows at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire and the Electric Ballroom.
In 2025, Stone Foundation released their 11th studio album The Revival of Survival, their funkiest to date, blending disco, funk and soul with a modern edge.
The band continue to tour internationally, and this special Sound Lounge show will feature highlights from across their 25-year career alongside newer material.
