Ultimate Rush Tribute is the premier tribute band dedicated to celebrating the timeless music of one of the greatest rock bands of all time – Rush!
Their live shows are an experience you won’t want to miss. They will take you on a journey through Rush’s extensive catalog, playing all of your favorite hits and deep cuts. From the high energy of “Tom Sawyer” to the epic grandeur of “2112,” they’ll have you on your feet and singing along all night long.
PERFORMER BIO:
For over 5 years, Ultimate Rush has been captivating audiences with their incredible musicianship and passionate performances. The band is made up of seasoned musicians who have honed their skills to perfectly replicate the sound of Rush. From the iconic guitar riffs of Alex Lifeson, the prophetic playing of Geddy Lee, to the powerful drumming of Neil Peart, they’ve got it all covered.
The band has played at some of the most prestigious venues in Florida and they’ve received rave reviews from audiences and critics alike. But don’t just take our word for it – come see for yourself what makes Ultimate Rush the ultimate tribute band.
David – Bass, Vocals, Keyboards & Keyboard Pedals
David began his musical journey with piano lessons at age 10, quickly progressing to playing in various garage bands throughout high school. His passion for music deepened during college, where he gained some radio airplay with different bands and honed his vocal skills in the school chorus. A lover of progressive rock, David cites Rush as his all-time favorite band.
Johnny – Guitar & Keyboard Pedals
Johnny picked up his first guitar in 7th grade and armed with a few chords he learned from his father. He learned the rest by ear and started his first band Intruder 6 months later. Johnny over the last 40 years he has performed with a few of the top cover bands in the Orlando, which got to open for some nationally touring acts like, REO Speedwagon, the Romantics and more. He grew tired of the cover band circuit and decided to challenge himself a bit more by creating two tribute band; Ultimate Floyd Tribute and most recently Ultimate Rush Tribute that you are seeing tonight. Johnny enjoys honoring two of his favorite guitar players (David Gilmour and Alex Lifeson) during these shows and tries his best to emulate the guitar tones and parts, note for note. It’s a tall order, but each performance gets a little bit closer.
Paul – Drums & Percussion
Orlando native, Paul, started playing drums at the age of 12. Paul was inspired by drummers like Neil Peart, John Bonham, Carl Palmer, and Alan White. Paul quickly became one of the hardest working drummers in the Central Florida area, playing for local bands such as Sonic Playground, Speed Limit 70, Rushour, Led Hed, Ultimate Floyd, and Ultimate Rush.
