An award nominated songwriter and magnetic performer, Will has previously released four albums and been nominated for ‘Best Original Blues Song’ by the British Blues Awards for three consecutive years.
As Will Johns states: “My first solo tour of Florida went well and I look forward to returning. We did a mix of my originals and blues covers including a few gems from my family legacy.”
Will's legacy is that of a renowned music family. Will's aunt Pattie Boyd was famously married to both George Harrison and Eric Clapton (Uncles!) inspiring some of their best-known hits including "Layla". He has remained close to Eric all these years. Will is the son of producer Andy Johns (Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin) and model/actress Paula Boyd. He is the nephew of celebrated recording engineer Glyn Johns (The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton). When Will was a teenager his Uncle Eric got him started with playing guitar.
Will has performed alongside music luminaries including his uncle Eric Clapton, Ronnie Wood (Rolling Stones), Nile Rodgers (Chic), Jack Bruce (Cream), Glenn Hughes, Dennis Chambers and Terry Reid just to name a few. With his own Blues Daddy show he has played European festivals, sold out club dates and in 2023 performed in Florida. As a member of the family legacy shows The Music of Cream and The Cream of Clapton he has toured the USA, Canada and Europe.
