About this Event
Violinist Pala Garcia (2024 NAC Artist Fellow, Washington Post 23 for ‘23: Performer To Watch, “immaculate... lustrous tone” - Strad Magazine) invites you to join her on an exploration of solo violin repertoire from Bach to the present day, framed by narratives of personal and cultural memory. Drawing on a love of early solo violin works as well as contemporary works inspired by those traditions, Garcia invites listeners to imagine this music in the context of memory: the performer’s, as well as the instrument’s.
