About this Event

We’re thrilled to host a wine tasting evening with Noble Rot’s Dan Keeling to celebrate publication of Who's Afraid of Romanée-Conti?: A Shortcut to Drinking Great Wines. From Burgundy to Barolo and from building a cellar to understanding sulphur in winemaking, Noble Rot editor and co-founder Dan Keeling delivers an expert guide to wine that will forever change the way you view the humble grape. Dan will be joined by Diana Henry as they discuss the no-holds-barred voyage of discovery, from sourcing good cheap vino to drinking its most unattainable and holiest of grails – Romanée-Conti – and the universe of interstellar wines that lie in-between.

The evening will feature conversation between Dan and Diana, interspersed with tasting 3 wines from producers featured in Who's Afraid of Romanée-Conti?: A Shortcut to Drinking Great Wines.

Dan Keeling is co-founder of Noble Rot magazine, and co-owner of its three eponymous London restaurants, which have won ‘Wine List of the Year’ at both the World Restaurant Awards and the National Restaurant Awards (the latter an unprecedented five times). Keeling Andrew, the wine import company he co-owns, represents some of the world’s most exciting winemakers and offers bottles to the public through its Shrine to the Vine retail wine shops. Dan’s first book Noble Rot: Wine from Another Galaxy (co-written with Mark Andrew) was The Guild of Food Writers ‘Drinks Book of the Year 2021’, and he has been awarded one Fortnum & Mason and three Louis Roederer awards for his writing about wine and food. He is also a contributor to FT Weekend Magazine. Dan previously worked in music as MD of Island Records and Head of A&R at Parlophone Records, where he signed Coldplay, Lily Allen, Athlete, and Bombay Bicycle Club, among others.

Diana Henry is a bestselling writer and journalist. She is the author of twelve books and has won many plaudits for her work, including awards from the Andre Simon Memorial Fund, the James Beard Foundation, Fortnum & Mason and the Guild of Food Writers

Please note all tickets include entry to the event and include 3 tasting glasses of wine at the event. Book and ticket option includes a copy of Who's Afraid of Romanée-Conti?: A Shortcut to Drinking Great Wines (RRP £30) which will be available for collection at the event.
