The night begins with an intimate conversation between M.Z. and Peggy Harvey, exploring the story behind the story: a fishing town shaped by mermaid lore, the threads of grief and love, and the quiet magic woven into everyday life.

In a rare and moving collaboration, Vivid Dance presents an original live performance inspired by the novel—a kind of “dance trailer” that brings its emotional landscape to life through movement, music, and imagination.
