Join the conversation! An Evening with Munson’s African American Community Partners
🗓️ Thursday, May 7, 5:30-7 p.m.
📍 Root Court
✨ Free and open to the public, drinks and snacks provided
Learn about Munson's African American Community Partners (AACP) on Thursday, May 7, with drinks, snacks, and a good time. The AACP advises Munson's work with art, history, and the Central New York community through direct discussion of what we do and how we do it.
Over the next year, we'll plan a community event celebrating 200 years of freedom in New York State. We'll take field trips to local sites related to slavery and abolitionism and consider how history continues to affect Utica and beyond.
Join us to honor the heroic struggle of freedom seekers and anti-slavery advocates, connect with Black Canadians doing similar work, and strengthen the presence of local history and art in our lives today.
