About this Event
Janet Street-Porter is returning to the exact spot where she grew up in Fulham - at the start of her journey to media stardom. Did having an outside toilet and a budgerigar (and a mother) who only spoke Welsh shape the person you see on telly 75 years later, still with an opinion about everything? Janet will relive the highlights of her Fulham days- from trying to blow up the toilets at Peterborough Primary school, to attending the Brownies and then the Girl Guides, and joining a youth club where two kids ended up as Britain's Eurovision entry.
Janet is bringing some souvenirs from those days, and there's plenty of time to ask her anything about life in Fulham and what happened after she started out as a journalist and telly presenter.
