Constance Adler’s first novel is Sight Unseen from ELJ Editions in 2025. She is the author of the memoir My Bayou, New Orleans Through the Eyes of a Lover (Michigan State University Press) and her stories have appeared in Oxford American, Utne Reader, Garden & Gun Magazine, River Teeth Journal, Blackbird, Peauxdunque Review, and LMNL Anthology, among others. A graduate of Smith College, she holds an MA in Creative Writing from Hollins University. Adler makes her home near Bayou Saint John in New Orleans.
Joshua Gottlieb-Miller is the author of two books of poetry: Dybbuk Americana (Wesleyan University Press) and The Art of Bagging (Conduit Books & Ephemera). He has been awarded support from Yetzirah, University of Houston, the Yiddish Book Center, and elsewhere. He teaches at San Jacinto College, and lives in Houston with his wife and son. Carolyn Hembree is a professor in the University of New Orleans MFA program and the poetry editor of Bayou Magazine. A recipient of a 2016-2017 ATLAS grant from the Louisiana Board of Regents, grants and fellowships from PEN, the Louisiana Division of the Arts, and the Southern Arts Federation, her poems appear in Beloit Poetry Journal, Colorado Review, Copper Nickel, Ninth Letter, Poetry Daily, The Southern Review, and other publications. She is the author of three poetry collections: Rigging a Chevy into a Time Machine and Other Ways to Escape a Plague (Trio House Press, 2016), winner of the Trio Award and the Rochelle Ratner Memorial Award; Skinny (Kore Press, 2012); and, most recently, For Today (LSU Press, 2024), a collection that attempts to define and understand the world within the context of heritage and the subtle differences between what our parents identify for us, what we find for ourselves, and what we propose to the next generation.
