Congressman Dave Min represents California’s 47th Congressional District in the U.S. House, serving communities across Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Beach, and more. He was elected in 2024 in one of the most competitive districts in the country and serves on the House Oversight Committee, the House Natural Resources Committee, and the Joint Economic Committee, where he has gained national attention for his work to defend the rule of law, hold the Trump Administration accountable, and advance economic opportunity for everyday Americans.
Before Congress, Dave served in the California Legislature, where he championed gun violence prevention, climate action, and secured billions in relief for small businesses and working families. He also taught law at UC Irvine and previously worked as an enforcement attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
The son of Korean immigrants, Dave is committed to protecting the California Dream for future generations. He lives in Irvine with his wife Jane, a law professor and domestic violence advocate, and their three children.
