About this Event
Join us for an unforgettable evening with poet, writer, and performer Patti Smith (Just Kids) as she presents her radiant memoir, Bread of Angels — an intimate and poetic journey through her remarkable life.
A New York Times best-seller and Time, New Yorker and NPR Best Book of the Year, Bread of Angels is Smith’s account of her post-World War II childhood, teenage years, love, loss and artistic expression.
The event features a live performance of select songs with acoustic accompaniment.
We are proud to partner with the University Club of Chicago, Poetry Foundation and Exile in Bookville, an independent bookstore located in the historic Fine Arts Building on Michigan Ave.
Each ticket includes a copy of Bread of Angels.
