Join us at Phoenix Books Rutland for an evening of poetry and music with local author Steve Brittain. Steve will be reading a selection of poems from his two collections of poetry Topping Trees : Reflections in Poetry on Zen Master Dogen's Genjo Koan and the recently published How to Love a Dog. He will be complementing them with some tunes from the Celtic tradition.
Steve Brittain moved to the Rutland area from down country in the early 80's to establish a medical practice. He worked there as a neurologist until retiring a few years ago. Throughout this time he wrote poems reflecting his experiences in Vermont both in town and in the woods and mountains. After retiring he has collected some of these poems into his two books.
