About this Event
An evening of poems is about sharing poetry in community. It is an opportunity to read poetry aloud with peers in a way that lets the poems live off of the page and into our hearts. The structure of the evening will be loose, meditated by the poems themselves. There is opportunity to share in any way people feel called to share, and the hope is we leave feeling connected by the magic of words. Once registered, participants will receive 12 selected poems by email.
Hosted at Cafe Siete, enjoy a cup of tea or decaf coffee as you listen, share, read, and connect.
The event is $15 per person, and all proceeds with go to Community Servings, a beautiful non-profit food resource organization here in Jamaica Plain.

Opening reading
Info: We will likely open the space by selecting a poem to read aloud as a group, as a way to open the space and connect to one another.
Poetry Share
Info: Participants can choose to read one of the selected poems, or share a different poem that they feel called to share with the group. Participants can share their own personal poetry if they'd like.
Poetic discussion
Info: There is space for dialogue, conversation, and sharing in how the poetry moves us
The meditator of this evening will be the poems themselves
