Recognized for his inventive musicianship, Junah has established a dynamic international career as a chamber musician, soloist, and educator. He is currently the violist for Disney’s Broadway production of The Lion King and appears regularly with the American Ballet Theatre. He previously served as the Assistant Principal Violist of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra and Principal Violist of the Reykjavik Chamber Orchestra. He has also performed with the New York Philharmonic and Minnesota Orchestra.


Junah maintains an active recital schedule and has been featured in performances at Carnegie’s Weill Hall, Lincoln Center’s Paul Hall, and WNYC’s Meet the Composer. Recent solo appearances include the Musica Viva in New York City, the Yongin Symphony (Korea), regular recital performances at St. Paul’s Chapel of Trinity Church Wall Street and at Metropolitan Playhouse. He is currently a member of the Entartete Trio with Eric Heubner, piano, and Tim Reudeman, saxophone, and has collaborated with renowned musicians including violinists David Kim and Oleg Krysa, violists Roberto Diaz and Lawrence Dutton, and cellist Timothy Eddy.


In addition to his extensive performing career, Junah is on the faculty of the City University of New York’s Graduate Center, where he continues the legacy of his esteemed teachers, including Lillian and Joseph Fuchs, Felix Galimir, and William Lincer.
