Join us for a rare and meaningful evening exploring the living legacy of the Wheeler fortune through their connection with Spiritualism in the historic village of Lake Pleasant, Massachusetts.
Presented by The National Spiritual Alliance and hosted at the Revival Wheeler Mansion, this special program brings together history, literature, and living Spiritualist tradition in the very setting where these stories began.
A portion of proceeds from this event will support the preservation of Spiritualist history in Lake Pleasant through the ongoing work of The National Spiritual Alliance and the stewardship of its historic temple.
The Evening Unfolds in Three Parts:
Opening Historical Reflection
with Cynthia Butler (Revival Wheeler Mansion)
Cynthia Butler will share reflections on the Wheeler family legacy and the Mansion’s connection to the Spiritualist movement and the historic community of Lake Pleasant.
Book Reading and Historical Slideshow
from Spirit and Spa with Author David James
Author and historian David James will share readings and a vintage photo slideshow from Spirit and Spa: A Portrait of the Body, Mind, and Soul of a Spiritualist Community in Lake Pleasant, Massachusetts. Co-authored with Louise Shattuck, this memoir and photographic portrait offers a deeply personal and nostalgic window into the people, places, and practices that shaped one of the oldest active Spiritualist communities in the United States. Books will be available for purchase and signing at the event.
Spirit Gallery
with Spiritualist Medium Alicia Parrish
The evening concludes with a Spirit Gallery demonstration, where Spiritualist medium Alicia Parrish will deliver messages from Spirit to audience members in a group setting. Each guest will receive a message.
About Alicia Parrish (aka Synchronicity Sweetheart)
Alicia is a fourth-generation intuitive medium and healer, born with the gift of sight between worlds. Since childhood, she has followed the subtle threads of Spirit that guide her work. She has trained at the A.R.E. in Virginia Beach and has spent over 30 years sharing Spirit messages across the U.S. and U.K. This has become her sacred calling—where synchronicity becomes a bridge and Spirit speaks through the softest miracles.
