About this Event
If you’ve ever wondered how much of yourself to share as a founder, you aren’t alone.
So many founders are at the heart of their brand, and in today’s world, that often means showing up on a digital stage. But being a public face doesn’t always come naturally—and even when it does, there comes a point when the version of ourselves we present publicly begins to drift from how we actually feel. Over time, that gap can start to take a toll on our mental health and impact how we feel, think, and show up in our business.
In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, Lauren Elizabeth Perna will host her second annual event. This year's event will be an intimate gathering of founders to explore the tension between public persona and private experience. The gathering is intentionally limited to 25 founders.
An Evening of Founder Stories will focus on thoughtful storytelling and reflection, during which three exceptional founders will share honest perspectives on visibility, identity, and the process of evolving as a founder. They will each reflect on navigating public-facing brand life, including the difference between sharing from a place of clarity and sharing in the middle of a difficult season.
Through conversation and a storytelling exercise led by founder Tony Martignetti, attendees will reflect more deeply on their own experiences and see them through a different lens.
Throughout the evening, we'll explore questions like:
- What do I choose to share publicly and why?
- Where does visibility feel aligned, and where does it feel forced?
- What happens when my identity begins to change?
At the center of the experience is one question: What version of yourself are you sharing, and does it still feel like you?
Attendees will leave with a deeper awareness of the stories shaping how they build—and a clearer sense of how to evolve.

About Tony’s Storytelling Experience
Tony will guide a reflective, interactive storytelling experience designed to help founders explore the space between their public persona and their private experience. Through a simple, creative exercise and small-group conversation, participants will uncover the “story beneath the story,” what feels true for them right now, but may not always be expressed. The session is designed to foster meaningful connection, deepen self-awareness, and offer a new lens on how we choose to show up and share.
