Spark Alchemy welcomes you to An Evening of Empire Elegance: A Romance Tea Affair — an intimate, regency-inspired experience created for the women who find home in the pages of a great love story.
Join us at the stunning Mint & Serif in Lakewood for live cello, conversation with a bestselling author, curated tea and snack selections, and the kind of connection that only happens when readers find their people.
Your evening includes:
- A warm welcome with tea (or champagne, for our VIP guests) and a spread of light bites and sandwiches to graze throughout the evening.
- Live music from two cellists, setting the tone from the moment you arrive and creating the kind of ambience straight from the pages of your favorite regency novel.
- An intimate conversation with USA Today bestselling author Amalie Howard — the Colorado-based powerhouse behind The Beast of Beswick (an Oprah Daily Top Historical Romance Pick), Always Be My Duchess, and dozens more beloved romances. Amalie will be joining us just days before the release of her brand-new YA historical romance, Rebel Heiress (May 19, 2026): the story of a brilliant heiress who disguises herself to attend Cambridge, where she unexpectedly falls for her equally sharp-minded tutor. The conversation will be real, warm, and include a special early-access reading of Rebel Heiress. Q&A and book signing included.

A cause close to our hearts: A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated to, an organization working to end human trafficking and restore lives. We'll also be hosting a prize drawing — stay tuned for details!
Though this is Spark Alchemy's first event, it will not be the last. Space is intentionally limited to 90 guests, because some things are better when they're intimate.
Attire: Regency-inspired is encouraged. Cottagecore, flowy, romantic, or simply your most elegant self. Come as the main character you are!
