Some evenings ask nothing of you except to arrive.
Join Mellow Habits for an hour of guided breathwork and immersive sound in the heart of Newstead, Brisbane. This is a grounding experience, floor based, unhurried — designed to bring you back into your body at the end of the day.
The session begins with gentle guided breathwork to calm the mind and regulate the nervous system. From here you will be led into a deep sound immersion using gong, bowls and percussion. As the breath slows and the body softens, the nervous system shifts from stress response into deep rest.
We are holding this experience just days before the Blue Moon on 31 May — the second full moon of the month and a rare celestial event. In lunar tradition the days approaching a Blue Moon carry an energy of completion, release and returning to stillness. There is no better time to come back to the ground beneath you.
No experience required. You simply arrive, lie down and be guided.
What to bring:
A blanket — something warm and familiar. An eye mask or face towel — highly recommended. Mats are provided.
Important:
Doors open at 7.15pm. Due to the nature of this experience we are unable to admit latecomers once the session has begun. Come early, slow down and let the evening begin before you even walk through the door.
