Travel with Jack and Annie through beloved adventures from the Magic Tree House series by Mary Pope Osborne, featuring musical excerpts inspired by the series, with book and lyrics by Will Osborne and Jenny Laird and music by Randy Courts. The evening will honor Mary Pope Osborne and Will Osborne, whose work has inspired generations of young readers and learners.
Set amid the beauty of the season, this festive gathering celebrates Berkshire Theatre Group’s education programs, with a special focus on the Magic Tree House series and stage adaptations—bringing theatre-based learning to more than 10,000 students each year and sparking curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning.
The program will include remarks and honoree recognition, performances by participants in BTG’s education programs and a paddle raise in support of BTG’s year-round theatre education initiatives. Guests will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as we come together to support arts education and the young explorers it inspires.
BTG’s year-round education and training programs meet 10,000 schoolchildren annually and produces the only approved curriculum-based theatre work in Berkshire County’s schools. BTG PLAYS! Programs include after school intensives with students navigating barriers, Summertime Classes, performance opportunities, and Magic Tree House Touring Shows!
