Be part of an intimate audience with Dr Lindsey Fitzharris, best-selling author and medical historian when she visits Glasgow, the location for Joseph Lister's antisepsis discoveries, described so vivdly in The Butchering Art. During this dynamic event, Lindsey will discuss her non-fiction work The Facemaker mainly and will take questions from the audience and will be available to sign copies of her books. This is a really exciting opportunity and definitely one not to be missed!
Dr Lindsey Fitzharris has a PhD in the history of science and medicine from Oxford University. She is an author, medical historian and TV host. Lindsey has written three novels: The Butchering Art, The Facemaker and Plague Busters (jointly with her husband, the artist and caricaturist for the TV show Spitting Image, Adrian Teal)
The Butchering Art won the PEN/E.O Wilson Award for Literary Science and The Facemaker has been longlisted for The Kirkus Book Prize.
