Join curator Mary Harding for a brief talk about collecting art. There will be a display of art pieces collected by Jean Licoln who was an enthusiastic collector and supporter of the York Art Association. These pieces and others will be exhibited and sold this summer in the newly renovated York Art Association building, just up the street from the Stage Neck Inn. Harding will discuss the pleasures and benefits of collecting art and recommend area museums and galleries where regional art can be enjoyed.Harding brings more than 35 years of experience as a curator specializing in regional contemporary art. She is currently an active member of the York Art Association and co-chair of Renovate 2026, a comprehensive renovation of the Association’s building which was originally built in 1923 as a Filene’s Department Store annex.
We will also have a free grazing table with light snacks & refreshments.
