Presented by the Black History Committee, Friends of Thomas Balch Library, this program will highlight the often-forgotten contributions of Black patriots and loyalists who fought and died during the American Revolution. The symposium will feature three presentations by experts in the field, followed by a moderated discussion, helping attendees better understand the importance of commemorating all Americans during the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution and the founding of the United States.
This ticketed event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Thomas Balch Library, 208 W. Market St., in Leesburg. Tickets are $35 for Black History Committee and Friends of Thomas Balch Library members and $40 for non-members
