About this Event
An Alternative Xanadu is a poetic sequence documenting the chaotic, shifting organism that is a shared house and its inhabitants. Xanadu Housing Co-operative was born in Leeds in 2004, and here, we get a chance to look at it anew. Tallulah Howarth welcomes the uncanny and alien, with an added formalist conceit: the word count of each poem is dictated by the square foot measurements of the rooms within the house.
Printed and published by Ossa Prints.
Doors at 5.30, starting at 6
Opening with readings from friends Tom Branfoot, Elijah East and Mau Baiocco. Fergus Quill will accompany Tallulah's reading with an improvised score. Afterwards, the night will bleed into the Lift Your Feet residency 💃
