Hic Sunt Dracones, “Here Be Dragons.” Written over uncharted terrain on ancient maps, where mysterious & unprecedented dangers were thought to exist, this sentiment is an inherent part of the human predicament, of the scaly-soulful journeys that fashion and unfurl our deeper humanity. And so here we find ourselves: Autumn 2025, entering further into uncharted territory — and just like the explorers of old we have little more to guide the way than the star-beings overhead, some wild (and possibly true) rumors, and the inner compass at the heart of the human psyche.
Let us gather and dive into some of the myths & poetics of eclipses. From dragon-lore to shadow work, through the great ages and turnings, we will celebrate with stories and stars and soul. Attuned to the spirit of the times, to our own bodies, and to the beautiful living tapestry of the Celestial Weaver we shall do it how we always have done: let us take heart and sojourn forth into the next layer of the unfolding mystery. If Spirit allows we’ll take a look and acquaint ourselves with some of the stars whose light shines through the cloud cover and light pollution to touch the body of the bayou.
Stories from Stardust is a one of a kind cultural immersion that braids together myth, cosmos & poetics with intellectual history, cultural remembering, practical astronomy & heart-centered teachings. These evenings are a form of ritual storied attunement that weave together imagination, landscape, cross-cultural starlore, wonder, animism, ancient perceptions & an alchemical courting of the night sky. These nights pay homage to the gnosis of our stargazing ancestors.

It’s time for the reclamation of our deeper sovereignty, to fortify our inner resilience, integrity & authenticity. We do this work together. We do this with Spirit. We do it with love and community.

Frank Salzano is an astrologer, cultural astronomer and storyteller that focuses on ancient astrology, ancestral star-myths and celestial folklore.
