Fort Works Art is proud to present our upcoming show, Fragments of Memory with Texas-based artist Amy Twomey. While Twomey is innately Texan and unmistakably Western in spirit, her works move beyond expected regional tropes. With works recalling artists like Kyle Steed and Jeremy Joel, the intimacy of her symbols captures fragments of life that might be lost at scale, creating a visual vocabulary rooted in memory and experience. Fragments of Memory reflects Fort Worth itself: the rhythms, quiet beauty, and lived experience of the city. By painting her story, Twomey paints ours as well.
