An evening with one of contemporary folk and Americana’s most powerful voices.
Heralded by Rolling Stone, Billboard, The New York Times, and featured on NPR’s Weekend Edition, Amy Speace is widely regarded as a songwriter’s songwriter — an artist whose work cuts straight to the heart with intelligence, poetry, and fearless emotional clarity.
Discovered in 2005 by folk icon Judy Collins and signed to her record label, Amy has released ten critically acclaimed albums, including The American Dream (2024), which became the #1 record on the FAI Radio Charts, with its title track also reaching #1. In 2020, she won the AMA UK’s International Song of the Year for “Me and the Ghost of Charlemagne,” further cementing her reputation as a world-class songwriter.
Her 2025 release, The Blue Rock Session, is a spare, solo acoustic album recorded live in just three hours at Blue Rock Studio in Wimberley, Texas. The result is intimate, unvarnished, and already receiving some of the strongest critical praise of her career — earning top marks from Mojo, RnR Magazine, and American Songwriter.
Beyond music, Amy is a published poet (her debut collection The Cardinals arrives in 2026), an essayist featured in major publications, and the author of To The Performer: A Singer-Songwriter’s Handbook. She also teaches English and Writing at Cumberland University, bringing the same depth and craft to the classroom that she brings to the stage.
Her songs have been heard at Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, Mountain Stage, Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, and countless storied venues around the world — but they are especially powerful in an intimate listening room.
This will be a night of masterful storytelling, luminous melodies, and the kind of songwriting that lingers long after the last note.
Join us at The Blue Door for an unforgettable evening with Amy Speace. 🎶
