This year, Amster Yard Sounds launches a new music program for families! The first concert in this series features Costa Rican bassist , bringing the magic of jazz to young audiences with vibrant rhythms and playful melodies. It’s the perfect introduction for kids to discover the joy and creativity of live music.
Kenneth Jiménez, now based in New York, has collaborated with leading artists such as Francisco Mela, Angelica Sanchez, Tom Rainey, and Ingrid Laubrock. In 2017, he was selected for the prestigious Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program at the Kennedy Center under Jason Moran’s direction. His music explores contemporary soundscapes with a unique melodic touch; his latest project, Sonnet to Silence (WeJazz Records), has earned critical acclaim for its innovative approach.
Amster Yard Sounds Jazz is a program curated by the Spanish pianist Marta Sánchez.
