Have you been personally victimized by a trendy amigurumi crochet kit that was labelled as "easy?" You may be entitled to compensation... Ok, but seriously- those kits are NOT for beginners. It's not your fault if your critter came out lumpy and homely (or if it just became a tangled mess of yarn that got violently shoved back into the box)! These companies seem to have spent a killing on a seriously good marketing campaign that have fooled so many into thinking these projects are a breeze. The reality is- they aren't.
Here's the good news: we have Jessie & Jill!
Jessie is a crochet master who can make just about anything. Jill is the teacher of pretty much all things. Together, they will help YOU get a handle on amigurumi :)
About our Intermediate Crochet Workshops:
If you recently took our beginner crochet course or you're self-taught and looking to begin making projects, our intermediate workshops will help you advance your skills! Although these "next level" classes almost always feature an actual project, we encourage attendees to focus less on the project and more on the skills they're going to acquire. You might not like the project itself, but attend anyway and gift the item afterward! There's so much value in learning new stitches and techniques.
Amigurumi Axolotl:
In this workshop, you'll learn how to work in the round- a key skill in the world of crochet :) You'll learn the magic ring method for beginning your project, as well as increasing, decreasing, and attaching small parts.
Prerequisite skills:
Attendees should feel very comfortable with:

chain
single crochet
Adults and mature teens 15+ welcome!

Workshop runs 2 consecutive Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm
