We're raising money for Comunidades Organizando El Poder Y La Accion Latina (COPAL) by putting on a benefit concert with all proceeds going directly to COPAL. On April 11th from 4-9pm at Mankato Makerspace, join us for a night of community, live music performances from local artists, a food buffet supplied by Food Not Bombs-Mankato, live screen printing of the rebel loon design courtesy of Mankato Makerspace (B.Y.O shirt or fabric), DIY block printing, a silent auction, and a crafting/art workshop.COPAL is a Minnesota-based, member-driven organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Latino families through workers' rights advocacy, health and wellness programs, voter engagement, environmental justice initiatives, and essential community resources. COPAL is a statewide grassroots force building collective power and creating opportunities for Latinos to live a dignified life. In today's climate of heightened immigration enforcement, Minnesota's immigrant communities are facing fear, uncertainty, and hardship and COPAL is on the front lines supporting them. Your attendance and donations directly fund this vital work.
Local comedian Sergio Salgado will be our host for the night with music performances by:
