About this Event
A celebration of the United States’ 250th anniversary of the Revolutionary War and the Declaration of Independence, the Americana 250 Exhibition is a celebration of colonial history and life through the humanities, arts, and sciences. Activities, presentations, and art projects will show the influence of the Revolutionary War, colonial life, and its impact on modern America.
Join for 18th century games, crafts, music and dance, a Founding Documents knock-out tournament, clothing try-on photobooth, and historical presentations.
In conjunction with the Americana 250 Exhibition, performances of My Dearest Friend: A play about the life of John and Abigail Adams by Peter Manos will be staged at Manchester Community College. This full-length play is an historical look at the development of the United States from its colonial roots through the story of John and Abigail Adams via their authentic, historian-verified correspondence.
FREE EVENT.
The Americana 250 Exhibition is funded by the New Hampshire Humanities Collaborative and Manchester Community College's Department of Social/Behavioral Sciences and Human Services.
