On Saturday, May 9 at 4 p.m. in the Princeton University Chapel, Princeton Pro Musica will perform a concert called 𝗔𝗠𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗖𝗔𝗡 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗢𝗡𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘, and we would love to see you there.
American Resonance brings together works by American composers that will resonate figuratively—in your heart and mind—and quite literally. The bone-shaking acoustic of the university Chapel is a phenomenon you simply must experience firsthand!
We’ll sing Bernstein’s tuneful 𝘾𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙨𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙨, Margaret Bonds’ heartfelt 𝙎𝙩. 𝙁𝙧𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙞𝙨 𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙮𝙚𝙧, Frank Lewin’s 𝙍𝙚𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙢 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙚𝙧𝙩 𝙁. 𝙆𝙚𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙙𝙮—which received its premiere in the Chapel itself in 1969—and more.
Like the American people themselves, American choral music is a kaleidoscope. A robust and diverse array of sounds and tonalities, of ideas and points of view—and there is no better place we can think of to share these sounds than in the glorious Princeton University Chapel. 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀!
