The New Haven Chorale is delighted to present great masterworks for its closing concert of the 2025–2026 Season - our 76th season! This inspiring concert will begin with Adolphus Hailstork’s I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes, a breath-taking cantata for choir, orchestra, and tenor soloist. Hailstork’s brilliant score explores the depths of Psalms 121, 13, and 23, and will feature Albert Lee’s soaring tenor voice. Two movements from Elaine Hagenberg’s modern masterpiece Illuminare, Splendor and Caritas, will follow, along with Gwyneth Walker’s mesmerizing The Tree of Peace. The concert will conclude with Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna, a deeply spiritual work that contains lush harmonies, beautiful lyricism, and a wonderful balance of soaring jubilation and quiet meditation.
