This trail-blazing and spirited tribute to the life of an American icon debuted 2016 in Folsom as a benefit concert for the City of Folsom's Johnny Cash Art Trail. Back by popular demand, American Legend will take you on a musical journey with songs from original country artists that influenced Cash's writings and sound, including the Carter Family. Experience the Sun Records hits of the 50s and 60s, such as "I Walk the Line" and "Get Rhythm," along with Cash's last ground-breaking songs with American Recordings. Multi-talented artists will take the stage to share the Man in Black's unique story through music and movement.
FOLSOM AMERICANA MUSIC FEST proceeds benefit the foundation’s programming that offers high caliber workshops, concerts and educational events to youth and our community with a focus on our uniquely American musical heritage.
Showcasing special guests from around the United States and regional musicians from genres including roots country, bluegrass, rockabilly, and folk, this event will capture the pulse of a highly popular music market in Northern California.
