American Indian Long Hair Teachings
For caretakers of American Indian children who have been impacted by the child welfare system. Learn traditional teachings and how to care for long hair. Topics include historical trauma due to the forced cutting of hair, long hair teachings, a panel, and lice prevention/best practices.
Free hair care products available for the first 30 people who sign up and attend in person.
Meal for in-person attendees at 5:30. If you are bringing children to the event please reserve tickets for them so we can plan the meal accordingly.
A virtual option is available. We ask that professionals who are interested in attending do so virtually so we have enough in-person space for caregivers.

Info: Linda Eaglespeaker (Blackfoot) will discuss historical trauma as it relates to the forced assimilation of American Indians by cutting their hair.
