The legislation requires History Colorado to create recommendations and concepts of memorialization through Tribal Consultations, Community Listening Sessions, confidential oral histories, and research of the boarding school effects on the Native American communities in Colorado. This program gives Tribal members an opportunity to voice their relationship with the Federal Indian Boarding School system as they understand its effects on themselves and their families.
