Join Toledo author and storyteller Tedd Long for a journey back to the restaurants that once defined the city’s neighborhoods, celebrations, and everyday life—but have now vanished.Table for None: Lost Toledo Eateries brings to life the stories behind beloved diners, elegant supper clubs, corner taverns, and family-run establishments that shaped Toledo’s food culture. Through historic photos, menus, advertisements, and colorful anecdotes, this presentation explores how these eateries reflected changing tastes, immigration, industry, and social life in Toledo.
This isn’t just a talk about food—it’s about memory, community, and the places where Toledoans gathered to celebrate milestones, conduct business, and feel at home. Audience members are encouraged to reminisce, laugh, and share their own memories of restaurants that live on only in conversation.

About the Speaker: Tedd Long is an author, blogger, photographer, lecturer, and curator known for his work on holytoledohistory.com. Tedd has earned acclaim for his award-winning books and innovative GPS audio walking and driving tours, including The Unholy Toledo Tour, as well as his contributions to the remarkable419 project and the Emmy-winning series Untold: Hidden Stories of Northwest Ohio.
