Guys as were heading into the winter months were looking to start back with our little wanders few miles building up to our endurance events for next year ie Yorkshire 3 peaks and the Cateran yomp. If any of you are interested in joining us let us know or just come for a ramble.
We will be setting of on an old route of ours for this one well known to us. Starting and finishing within QE country park bit of a figure of 8 over butser hill we will encounter a few inclines on this route to get the lungs and heart going. Its a beautiful little walk that can range from 5 to 10 miles depending on how your feeling.
You will need to carry an edc with water snacks waterproofs emergency kit ie 1st aid and warm kit hoody gloves hat emergency blanket/shelter.
you will also need to where sensible walking shoes and clothing not your old ronhills and daps with plastic bags inside. you will be left at the carpark with an "oh dear what a pity never mind" from me and a "must do better".
I will be at Chichester Serving Armed Forces and Veterans Breakfast Club at the Barn harvester Chichester that morning you are very welcome to join us but I will need to know for booking purposes. If you wish you can jump on the battle bus in Havant I will be leaving at approx 08.45am to be in Chi 09.00 for 09.30 Breakfast normally finishes 11.30-12 i will then head up to the George get my kit squared then be in the pub for hydration purposes. We will commence walking at 09.30hrs on the dot hoping to returning 11.30 12ish depending on the pace . A quick pint in the Red lion chalton on the way home
This walk will be the start of many monthly wanders and some extra training for the 3peaks and cateran yomp just to get you all use to carrying kit over long distances for several hours or more.
