✨ AMBER NIGHTS 3 @ DANSSTATIONEN✨(In English below)
Välkommen till den tredje och avslutande publika kvällen arrangerad av ’amber eons’ – en ny plattform i södra Sverige där dans och experimentell scenkonst möter konstnärer med rötter från, och relation till, den skandinaviska sydöst-/östasiatiska diasporan.
Under våren samlas nio konstnärer för att utforska tre tvärkonstnärliga sceniska processer. Arbetena rör sig mellan teman som identitet, förlorade minnen, arv, kropp, hyper- och hyposexualisering, naturfenomen och spekulativa verkligheter.
Vecka 3 presenterar vi ett utdrag ur amber eons arbetsprocess med KHAMLANE HALSACKDA’s ”Solo Together” / ”The Old Kween” efterföljt av en gästperformance/spelning med DJ SLOWZ. Mer information om kvällen nedan.

Varje arbetsdel avslutas med en öppen kväll där publiken bjuds in att ta del av utdrag ur de pågående processerna. Kvällen ramas in av utställningar och avslutas med en särskilt inbjuden gäst – en röst som gjort avtryck inom den sydöst-/östasiatiska skandinaviska diasporan.

Om ”Solo Together” / ”The Old Kween” (artisticprocess facilitated by KHAMLANE HALSACKDA)
The piece is motivated by researching a solo that truly reflects the complexities of contemporary perceptions around identity. In a world so embroiled by multitudes of information to the point of drowning in confusion I am looking to return myself to my body. I want to challenge the depths with which I can go into the corporeal landscape of my being. Separating the word body from politics. Is this even possible? This solo will be the first iteration of unending versions. Once begun I will commit to doing this solo for the rest of my artistic life & as long as my body allows it. Through this solo practice I am embracing duration and the truth that the human being cannot avoid physical change, that time is not linear, the past and present body is continuously propelled side by side and forever going forward until met by death. In this Amber Eons residency I launch my research from a simple visual image: my naked body blurring the sharp edges of a symbol. An idea that looks to explore a moment of meeting, an insistence of being in action, an attempt to expand concepts of communication beyond typical notions of word or cis body language.
Om DJ SLOWZ - Performance / Spelning
DJ Slowz will take you on a journey through sounds inspired by Southeast Asian roots, weaving together rhythms and textures from across the region.
To close the experience, Slowz invites everyone into an interactive zone - introducing electronic equipment and creating a space where we can all jam, experiment, and vibe together.
Slowz is a multifaceted artist – B-boy, DJ, performer, music producer and community enthusiast. Born in 1992 in Hanoi, Vietnam, Slowz has always had a huge passion for music and in 2004 he entered the hip-hop culture scene in Vietnam, first as a B-boy (Breakdancer). From that time, he was determined to find good music to dance to and it led him to become a true crate digger. In 2009 it also led him to be one of the first break DJs of Vietnam, being a front figure for the Vietnamese hip-hop scene. He had already made a name for himself through breakdancing, winning international competitions like “Battle Of The Year South East Asia”, “Soul Session Oslo”, ''Game battle Denmark'' and representing Vietnam in “Red Bull BC One Asia Pacific Finals”. Beside that he's also active in the performance scene and has done some performances and worked with different theatres & organizations in Vietnam, Sweden & Denmark like ''Uppercut Dance Theater'', ''Dansehallerne'', ''Malmö Dance Week'', ''Hanoi Thang Long Theater''.

✨ AMBER NIGHTS 3 @ DANSSTATIONEN ✨
Welcome to the third and final public evening organized by AMBER EONS – a new platform in southern Sweden where dance and experimental performing arts meet artists with roots in, and connections to, the Southeast/East Asian Scandinavian diaspora.
During the spring, nine artists come together to explore three interdisciplinary stage processes. The works move between themes such as identity, lost memories, heritage, the body, hyper- and hyposexualization, natural phenomena, and speculative realities.
Week 3 presents an excerpt from amber eons’ working process with KHAMLANE HALSACKDA’s “Solo Together” and ”The Old Kween”, followed by a soundperformance with DJ SLOWZ. More information about the evening below.

Each phase of the work concludes with an open evening where the audience is invited to experience excerpts from the ongoing processes. The evening is framed by exhibitions and ends with a specially invited guest – a voice that has made an impact within the Southeast/East Asian Scandinavian diaspora.
