Amare Cantare’s holiday concerts highlight the sacred and special found in the silent moments during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. The program features unaccompanied choral music offering perspectives from a variety of eras, nations, and life experiences, juxtaposed with both timeless and timely texts. From the titular “While All Things Were in Quiet Silence” by Ned Rorem to beautifully paired settings of “Ave Virgo Santcissima” by Francisco Guerrero and David Azurza and “A Spotless Rose” by Herbert Howells and Becky McGlade, hear beloved carols in arrangements both traditional and unexpected.Join us in our first season with Dr. Kyle Nielsen at the start of Amare Cantare’s next chapter.
