Allyship in Action
Inclusive behaviors are actions that result in others feeling valued, respected, seen, and heard, and allyship is at the top of the inclusive behavior pyramid. When thinking of allyship or inclusion, we often only focus on the person performing the behavior and not the person on the receiving end. During this session, Sertrice Shipley, founder of DEI consulting firm Plan to Action, will define what allyship is and discuss how allies can support their partners through career transitions and how partners can best leverage their allies.

Sertrice Shipley is the Founder of Plan to Action, a DEI consulting firm and the co-author of Inclusalytics. Prior to Plan To Action, she made significant contributions as Co-Owner & Chief Consulting Officer of Mattingly Solutions. Her dynamic consulting has benefited clients like NAWBO, Koppers, and American Humane, delivering DEI solutions ranging from assessment to strategic planning.
Sertrice has been invited to speak at prominent events like SHRM, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and various city Chamber events. She is also deeply committed to community service and holds various board positions. Sertrice is located in Raleigh, NC with her husband Abraham and dog Winston.
