Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 7 and join the Alumni Association and Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs in the Meridian Ballroom for the Always A Cougar Graduation Celebration for the Spring class of 2026.
Join us as we raise a toast to the Class of 2026! Celebrate your achievements and create lasting memories with fellow graduates at this special SIUE tradition. Enjoy a complimentary champagne toast, light appetizers, exciting giveaways, and get your first SIUE alumni t-shirt (while supplies last)! We’ll have fun photo ops, DJ Brock spinning great music, and plenty of Cougar spirit as we honor your journey at SIUE. Don’t miss this chance to kick off your graduation festivities in style!
Registration is required and you must present a valid state-issued ID to receive your complimentary glass of champagne. There will be non-alcoholic beverages served as well. Business casual attire is encouraged. Due to capacity limits, each graduate is permitted one additional guest.

Also, in case you haven't heard, the Class of 2026 is participating in a tradition that encourages students to make a gift to SIUE during your graduation year. Your SIUE experience has prepared you for your future, and you can help make the future even brighter for Cougars to come! We are suggesting a gift of $20.26 for all 2026 graduates to commemorate your graduating class. By giving at least $20.26 during your final year as a SIUE student, you will receive a red, white and black philanthropy cord to wear proudly during commencement. You can pick up your cord at the event on May 7th!
