Altona Miniature Railway and Newport Railway Museum opening days

Newport Railway Museum has expanded its public opening days to also open on the same days as the nearby Altona Miniature Railway. This means that you can now visit both wonderful railway attractions on the same day!
Take the family out for some fun train rides around the beautiful Altona Miniature Railway, and then head over to the Newport Railway Museum to enjoy the many steam locomotives and other historic trains on display.
PLEASE NOTE THE OPENING HOURS OF EACH VENUE:
Altona Miniature Railway opens on the third Sunday of every month from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm.
Newport Railway Museum is also opening on these same days, from 12 noon to 5.00 pm.
And we're so closely located: it's just a short trip from the Altona Miniature Railway on Blenheim Street down Rosshire Road and Jubilee Street to Champion Road and the Newport Railway Museum.
Please note: tickets for each venue are sold separately, and our regular prices apply at each venue. As we are both entirely volunteer-run operations, your ticket revenue go directly to improving our facilities for the benefit of you, our visitors!
